Dear Fellow Security Professionals,

The Greater Orlando Chapter is pleased to host Dr. Gina Orton MD for our April speaker. Dr. Orton earned her BA degree at Yale University and her doctorate in medicine at the Hahnemann University Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her residency in psychiatry at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN and a forensic psychiatry fellowship at Hahnemann Medical Center and in the Philadelphia prison system. 

Dr Orton has worked with the law enforcement and veteran's communities for over twenty-five years, developing mental health intervention initiative and suicide prevention and resiliency programs for federal agents and their families. Prior to that, while working with the Department of Veteran's Affairs, she pioneered PTSD reductions programs to assist survivors of combat, POW and military sexual trauma. Dr. Orton has lectured nationally with the goal of raising resilience and reducing the terrible stigma which prevents many from seeking support and life-saving suicide and violence prevention treatment. 

The April meeting is free of charge and will be held virtually on ZOOM from Noon - 1PM. The Chapter will be offering 1.0 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Units for this presentation.
